Mid Term Undergraduate Scholarship
Eligible Courses
Open to all students enrolled in a local discipline.
Eligibility
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Full-time undergraduate student enrolled in a university in Singapore.
- Completed at least 1 semester and not in final year of undergraduate studies.
- Excellent academic results.
- Passionate about AI, machine learning, data science and innovation.
- Cannot be a recipient of other awards / scholarships with bond obligations.
Renewal
To qualify for the subsequent academic year, students must achieve grades that are deemed satisfactory to Carro in the preceding academic year.
Tenable Period
Up to 3 years of Undergraduate Studies. No backdating.
Bond Period
1-year bond period for every year of sponsorship, capped at 2 years.
Internship of 10 weeks with Carro, to be completed during university vacation breaks.
Annual allowance of $20,000.
Provision of AWS training and certification, as well as other relevant online courses.
Career Development Plan – scholars will be placed on an internal career progression track to grow management and leadership skills, and will also be provided with resources for training to improve technical skills.

What development programmes are there for scholarship holders during their studies?
Scholarship holders will be provided with training and certification in specialised Data Analytics & Machine Learning skills in the cloud with the AWS Training & Certification team. The certification exam fees will be sponsored by AWS.
Scholarship holders will also join Carro as an intern for 10 weeks to gain practical exposure and work experience
Is it possible to backdate the scholarship benefits?
No.
What are the courses of study allowed under the scholarship?
There is no restriction on the course of study, but is subject to Carro’s approval.
Is there a list of recognised universities for the Carro x Amazon Scholarship?
No, any university in Singapore will be recognised for the purposes of the scholarship.

- Photocopy of front and back of NRIC

How many rounds of selection are there for the scholarship?
After submitting your application, shortlisted applicants will be invited for one round of interview.
Must I have secured a place at a university prior to applying for the scholarship?
Yes. Applicants must have completed at least 1 semester of their university studies.
I have applied for this scholarship before. Can I apply again?
Yes, you may make another application with your new achievements and/or qualifications.
I have received another scholarship / bursary / award. Can I still apply?
Yes, as long as there are no bond obligations.
I have received another scholarship / bursary / award with bond obligations. Can I still apply?
Students subject to bond obligations will not be considered for the scholarship.
